Description
This is the Allach No.3 by Theodor Kärner: the small standing Elefant.
With on the underside the wellknown Allach double runes in green and factory model number “3”.
The height is approximately 7,7 centimeters and the lenght approximately 10,6 centimeters.
In good condition, no chips. two very minuscule surface scratches. The tails on the inside (as with all of them) weakly glazed. Overall id rate it very good and close to mint.
These small elephant figurines have become very rare as the ones that survied are all sitting in collections. You simply don’t seem them as much anymore as they used to be. They have always been rare but hardy come on the market anymore.
Already in the first productionyear 1938 they were very popular and a total number of 198 pieces were made in white. Due to popular demand another 167 were made the next year in 1939, making the total productionnumber before the war to a total of only 365 pieces. This is one of them.

Ps: i tried different lighting with my camera because of the shiny surface, some photos may look a bit off color, in hand its a beautifull piece.
