The slogan “Ein Volk – Ein Reich – Ein Führer” is almost synonym for the Germany in World War two. After the annexation of Austria in march 1938, the Austrian nation was asked on 10 april 1938 if they would want to remain a part of Germany or not. The answer was an unreal percentage og 99% of the people that were in favor of Germany. Nowadays historians agree that this percentage was manipulated. However, the postcard is from the date of the april referendum.
Very rare to find, and in very good condition!!! Complete with the first day of issue stamp from 9 april 1938.
