A small review of the book can be found on page 130 in the referencebook by G. Groeneveld, title “Hitler’s jongste hoop – nazipropaganda voor de jeugd”, van Tilt, (2019). In here Groenveld writes:
“A similar religious ecstasy resounds from Kerls seid ihr! from 1934. In it, Goetz Sternegger describes how a Hitlerjugend group from Lübeck marches to Berlin to offer the Führer a model ship that he has made himself. When the boys come face to face with their ‘beloved figure’, they see a ‘bright sun’ shining from his eyes. When asked by their idol how they managed to do this, the leader of the group, throat tightened with emotion , can only gently utter ‘out of love, my Führer’. It’s this moment that the prolific illustrator Werner Chomton put on the cover, with Hitler shaking hands with the protagonist. On the left is the Hitlerjugend group. Reichsminister for the Interior Wilhelm Frick and Propagandaminister Goebbels are just visible behind the Führer.
