Description
This is a rare British made Swastika “Good Luck” Brooch.
It is on the back silver hallmarked, and also shows the initials “C.H.” in a squar. These stand for maker Charles Horner.
Unknown to many – and definately something many britisch people would like to forget after the Second World War – is that the swastika was used by e.g. Amerika and England in the first decades of the twentieth century, as a good luck and peace symbol. It was used e.g. in jewelry like the here offered silver brooch with blue swastika design. These brooches are very hard to come by. more commonly found braclets or neckhangers were made for e.g. wearing on necklaces.
In very good condition and obviously quite hard to find, as many were destroyed after Hitler came to power in Germany and did the horrible things he did.
