(Brooch) Housemark design
This is a brooch with a housemark design, not to be confused with a rune design. Housemarks were heraldic family symbols. In medieval times when people could not write (particularly farmers), they had a simple family symbol, they could use this for e.g official documents, or for heraldic wood or iron symbols on their farm. From the 1930’s onwards untill the wars end this became a somewhat popular design again in nazi germany on female jewely.
Fairly large size.
Hard to find and in good condition.
