Description
This is an extremely rare Coburg plaque for the “Erinnerungs Kriegs Kreistag der NSDAP Coburg 17.-19. OKT. 1941”, commemorating the Deutscher Tag in Coburg (German Day in Coburg) in oktober 1922, during which the very young NSDAP battled the leftists and communists in streets fights in Coburg and won.
The bronze coloured and gilt finished design is in very good condition and is attached to a wooden black plaque. On the lower end is a seperate small plate with the commemorative tekst on it.
Looking at the design one sees immediatly the famous Coburg badge (which is said to be designed by Hitler himself) and a stylish (old type) designed eagle, this style of eagle is well known from other sparse known Coburg items, like e.g. a poster with the same design.
The size of the plaque is approximately 17,5 x 12 cm.
Im aware of only three other Coburg plaques in the world, 2 with the “Sieger” theme, and only ONE OTHER (!) with the commemorative text like the one we offer here. This makes it an alost unique collectible of the greatest rarity!
This is an extremely rare item and of great historical importance to commemorate the Coburg battle. It could easily be the centrepiece of any political NSDAP collection or museumdisplay.
In uncleaned and “as found” condition. Had it been mint it would easily bring double the price we ask and which i think is now really very good! Try finding another!!!!!
