Description
This is without a doubt one of the rarest groups of original historical artefacts i will ever be able to offer on my webshop:
an amazing original group of wartime Danish DNSAP insignia. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire the rarest of the rarest original Danish wartime DNSAP insignia.
The group as offered here for sale consists of the following insignia:
- Six DNSAP shoulderboards, these being in the ranks of: 1 Herreds Gruppenleder, 2 Herreds Afdelingsleder, 3 Herreds Leder, 4 Syssel Gruppenleder, 5 Stabs Gruppenleder, 6 Syssel Adfelingsleder. All six shoulderboards are complete with their respective and correct silver or gold colored buttons.
- Two small honerary insignia in the form of bullion bows.
- Eight armshield insignia, these being in the ranks of: 1 Afdelings Gruppenleder, 2 Afdelings leder, 3 Herreds leder, 4 Combined shield for Stabs skriver/Fuldmaegtig/Gruppenleder, 5 + 6 Syssel Afdelingsleder (two of the same shields), 7 Syssel leder, 8 Landesleder.
Of very important note to mention is that several of the here offered insignia are the only ones known in the whole world. In fact, besides the group offered here only 5 other of these DNSAP insignia are known in the most advanced collections, with one of those 5 being property of the Danish War Museum. Yes, the here offered group is THAT rare.
The best period source for information about them is (of course) the period Lomme-kalender from 1943, please see it here on our website: https://dutchmilitaria.com/product/denmark-danish-d-n-s-a-p-s-lomme-kalender-1943-rare/
and also here on Wikipedia (where our Dutchmilitariaphoto’s are also used): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ranks_and_insignia_of_the_National_Socialist_Workers%27_Party_of_Denmark
A further source of information is the famous reference book by David Littlejohn: Foreign Legions of the Third Reich, Volume 1, pages 70 – 77. For refence purposes i added an image of the Lomme- kalender 1943 and a few pages of the Littlejohn book here.
It is impossible to state exactly how rare these insignia are. In all honesty i also realize the group could probably bring much more money if the insignia were all sold seperately, but it would be a real shame to break it up. This is truly an once in a lifetime opportunity to obtain the most rare and sought after Danish collaboration insignia. Prefereably i would like to see these go to a museum or high end collection for education purposes.
IMPORTANT: Paypal payment is possible, but due to the very high fees only after consulting me on forehand or if directly ordered if you are ok with paying the extra fees afterwards.
