Description
This is a Deutsches Kreuz in Gold, its a so called heavy version (due to it’s weight), with six rivets on the back, indicating it was made by maker Gebrüder Godet & Co from Berlin.
The weight of the cross is 73 grams.
It is in very nice condition, with some typical patination in the centre surrounding the swastika. The black enamel has no chips, but there are some minor common found superficial scratches from wearing.
Godet heavy crosses are some of the best looking high quality made DKIG’s. This is a piece with a lot of character that looks amazing in hand. Much rarer to find than e.g. a light Zimmerman.
