Description
This is a Dutch 1940 dated Olympia typewriter with “SS-Button”.
It’s almost 20 kilograms heavy.
The condition is so-so, two buttons are missing, it appears one spring is broken (or the whole typewriter should be oiled?) as it doesn’t work correct, maybe someone who knows how to work on old typewriters can fix it. We offer it as it is. It would make a great museum displayitem in a wartime diorama. The SS-button is presented, but “under it” is the $-sign, so it doesnt type the SS-runes anymore.
Found recently in the Netherlands in Amsterdam, where it remained since the war!
PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO IT”S WEIGHT WE CANT SHIP THIS ITEM! PICKUP ONLY AFTER APPOINTMENT at most European fairs, e.g. at the Houten fair, or in the Netherlands.
