Description
This is a dutch per-war 1938 dated Dutch Politietroepen (PTR) uniform + accoutrements.
The tunic is made of the best quality soft “geschoren wol” [shaved wool] and ws made by “Maison van Hal in Breda (Hofleverancier van H.M. de Koningin)”. The tunic is named inside the lower pocket to dutch Policeman “Wisman” and dated 1938. Complete with all buttons and shoulderboards. There is an extra white collar re-inforcement attached in the the neck. On the sleeves are white “bananenschillen” [rank stripes) for a “Korporaal der politietroepen”.
Overall the tunic is in excellent condition with only two mothbites. I don’t think a better one can be found!
There is also a in similar cloth green pair of trousers (very little color difference), also made of “geschoren wol”. These trousers are even rarer to find. There are a few month bites, but nothing too disturbing.
Also present of the same owner as the tunic is a metal period box with accoutrments: a pair of white police shoulderboards, and two aiguillette’s. One thin for daily wear, and a broader one for official puposes.
This is a very rare to find dutch Police uniform!!!
