Description
Dutch watime letter openend and stamped by the Oberkommando der Wehrmacht (1942).
This is a great little piece of history: an original wartime letter from Zeist in the Netherlands, which was sent to Austria. As the German occupier was afraid of any prohibited information leaking out, they opened all letters to controll the written information. After opening and reading and if everything turned out to be ok, they closed it again and sent it, but only after stamping it officially.
A curious original part of war history you dont see very much.
