Erkennungsmarke (EKM) Waffen-SS – 14. Frw. Lg. Ndl.
This is one of the rarest of all dutch volunteer “Legion Niederlande” Erkennungsmarken. The 14. Frw. Lg. Ndl. was the Panzerjäger (PAK) company of the Vrijwilligers legioen Nederland. This was the company in which also dutchman Gerardus Mooyman was a part of and won the Knightscross for shooting down 13 Russian tanks in one day with his PAK canon.
It is as can be seen from the photo’s without any number and thus an unissued piece, that survided. I got the tag via another collector. While only a very few of these Erkennungsmarken are known, it is known that anoter few unnumbered ones were found n the Narwa region. Since this one is obvously ground found too it seem logic it originates from teh same source.
White chalk was rubbed in the letters to make them appear more, nothing is damaged.
