Description
This is a Gau-Traditionsabzeichen Berlin 1936.
Numbered on the back with issuenumber #466.
On the back also maker marked with the name of maker L. Chr. Lauer Nürnberg – Berlin.
In as found condition, uncleaned, the pin broken off. If professionally cleaned by a jeweler this will look even more amazing as it already does now in hand.
The Gau Berlin badges are among the very rarest of the Gau badges, and only a handfull is known in collections. In total were only 665 of these awards handed out before 1945. The low number obviously explaining why it so rare, but only a few of this low total appear to have survived since 1945.
A great rarity and a badge that is missing from most advanced collections. Only the very first of these we could ever offer. I deem to have priced it also very well according to it’s condition.
