Description
This is a german WWI medalbar with matching miniature medalbar.
The medalbar was assembled in the 1930’s, which was a practice that was often done with later issued Iron Crosses. This is evident by the later frame that can only be found with World War II Ek2’s and is typical for late awared WWII crosses. The cross is made by Meybauer.
Interestingly there is also a very rare miniature medalbar with the same medals. The Frontkämpfer Ehrenzeichen has a very small LDO makers mark on the back from the same maker.
This a great set with both large and small medals and all from the same marker. Extremely rare to find like this.
