Description
The Goethejahr 1932 Sängerbundesfest Frankfurt am Main is one of the largest and heaviest medals we ever had for sale. It measures from top to bottom approximately 10 bij 6,5 centimeters.
In the centre is an image of Goethe, accompanied by the words: “XI Deutsches Sängerbundesfest 21-24 Juli im Goethejar 1932 Frankfurt am Main”.
The reverse shows the logo of the Singing Bund (DSB in a swuare) and a church (the famous Pauluskirche from 1948), surrounded by the words: Ich Glaube an die Ewigkeit meines Volkes – E. M. Arndt.
This is a really impressive medal, very large, heavy and a guaranteed eyecatcher in a glass display, and actually every medal collection!
