Hitler-Hindenburg medal 1933
“Für ein freies geeintes und stolzes Deutschland” (For a free, united and proud Germany). 30.1.1933 – 5.3.1933
On red/white/black ribbon (the colours of the old German imperial flag) and with a swastika in the centre.
The first date on the medal (30.1.1933) is symbolic for the date on which Paul von Hindenburg appointed Hitler to “Reichschancellor”. The second date (5.3.1933) stands for the date that the Reichstag elections took place.
The medal was an electionspropagandamedal for the Reichstag elections. It is at this point not clear if this was worn by promotors of the NSDAP party for the elections, or was given afterwards to people who helped out.
In very good condition!
