This is a Kriegsverdienstkreuz 1e Klasse (KVK1) / War Merit Cross first Class.
It is on the back of the needle maker marked with “43”, which stands for maker Julius Bauer. With typical broad needle for Julius Bauer.
This is a desirable and hard to find maker. The cross is in excellent condition with lots of silver finsish left. It owuld be hard to upgrade.
The cross comes with original case, this in light used condition. The push button’s spring is loose and doenst work, it might be easy to fix as the spring is still there under the “bed” on which the cross rest.
A very nice cased War Merit Cross first class.
