Description
This is a framed art print of a German soldier with M18 steelhelmet, a typical early 1920’s artists impression. It is dated 1925.
Ont he lower right side is written: “In Hitz und Frost gehärtet, von Kräften wunderbar, war stets ihr Mut noch grösser, als jede Schrecknitz und Gefahr!” [Hardened by heat and frost, with wonderful strength, their courage was always greater than any terror or danger!].
The size of th frame is approximately 54 x 55 centimeters. The frame is original but has been opened in the past and contains in my opinion new closing tape.
Simply a wonderfull and quite large size impression that would go well with any “Kampfzeit” or early 1920’s german collection. E.g. in a Stahlhelmbund display.
