Description
This is a M42 whitewash (white wintercamo) helmet. It is faintly maker marked with CKL64, meaning it was manufactured by Eisenhuttenwerk AG, Thale Harz. Towards the end of the war, the ET marking was discontinued in favor of three letter code ckl. The helmet also has lotnumber 5376.
With original liner and chinstrap still present. The chinstrap on the end marked with RBNR 0/0494/0002
The helmet was recently found in Denmark and has never before been in collectorshands. After German troops retreated back from the eastern front, the danish resistence defeated the owner of the helmet in the area of Aarhus Harbor. We obtained the helmet directly from the daughter of the resistance man who looted the helmet from the original owner in German service. It is completely untouched and was since the war never in collectorshands.
The condition is very good with loads of the white wintercamo still remaining. This would make an amazing displaypiece in a helmet cabinet, or on a winter mannequin. 100% original!
Original (untouched) white wintercamo helmets are very very hard to come by.
