This is the first number of the wellknown Signal magazine. It is Number 1 from 1940.
The first 4 numbers were only printed in German language and in very low numbers. Since number 4 from 1940, the magazine was printed in more languages and in high numbers. This makes the first 4 numbers and especially number 1 very hard to find.
This first number is missing from most Signaal collections and is rarer the e.g. the last 1945 numbers, that were still printed in high numbers.
The condition is used. The spine is repaired with acid free tape and loose, there is damage to the back. Still i would rate this largely above average. Of the only 2 other numer 1 magazines i’ve ever seen this one is far better.
Do you collect Signal/Signaal? Then you most probably miss this rare first number! I don’t expect to get another any time soon. VERY RARE TO FIND!!!
