This is a miniature Kriegsmarine double decal Ferntrauungshelm Weddinghelmet. These were used when the soldier was at the front (or in this case at sea) and his future wife was at home. In his absence a small helmet was during the wedding ceremony placed near the woman and she married him (the helmet).
In very good condition. The Kriegsmarine miniature Ferntrauungshelmet variation is extremely hard to find.
