Description
Mutterkeuz gold Halbminiatur “Clip” / Motherscross gold halfsize clipback variation.
The clip on the back was intended for attaching the cross to the pocket on the cheast of the female dress.
These halfsize variations were invented as many women – particularly those who worked the land – complained the neckcross was always swinging back and forth when they worked the ground. These half size miniatures could then be obtained as an elegant replacement, and by wearing them on the chestpocket they were not constantly in the way when working.
Extremely rare to find variation! Most women did not bother and only very few were made this way. Only a handfull is known in the collectorsworld.
