Description
Nationaal-Socialistische Nederlandsche Arbeiderspartij (NSNAP) Kruyt Memberbadge.
This is a so called Third Model NSNAP KRUYT MEMBERBADGE (which was also the last model), which was only in use in approximately 1940/1941. Many confusing stories do the rounds about the Kruyt badges. The first model was the Lionsdesign stickpin. After that came the red/white/blue model badges that resembled (too much?) the German NSDAP party badges. Ultimately this multicolored model came into existence and was kept untill the party dissolved on 14 december 1941. It is a very very hard to find badge, also here in the Netherlands.
Marked on the back with the party’s name “NSNAP KRUYT”.
In good condition.
Only a handfull of these are known, making it a very rare dutch fascist memberbadge. The design with all the different kinds of colored enamel makes it a very interesting designed badge.
Now for the background: IT COMES COMPLETELY OUT OF THE WOODWORK! I was contacted last week by the grandchildren of a former NSNAP Kruyt member. They offered me the badge. It has since the war never had another owner and has as such of course never been in another collection. This is one of those very rare times were such a rare item truly comes from the family.
