Description
This is a Dutch army from before 1940 (Nederlandse leger van voor 1940) cut-out helmet plate -> cut-out from the helmet, so not only the plate loosened from the helmet. The back of the plate as offered here has an actual cut out piece of the helmet.
The back looks ground dug, but it is in really good condition overall.
