This is a complete year of newspapers for the year 1943, of the NSB newspaper “Het Nationale Dagblad”. With marmored hardcover, half linnen bound.
Starting with number 51 on 4 January 1943 and running sequential untill number 356 which dates to 31 december 1943. As far as i can see all numbers are included.
This newspaper is not easy to find at all, also in the Netherlands. Sometimes you run into one or two, but complete years are impossible to find. Besides the national archives im only aware of one other book containing all 1943 editions.
Of note: during the war, when paper became scarce, the newpaper editions became thinner, ultimately only consisting of 2 pages (one page front and back), this is why for the year 1943 so many (over 300 are included!) fit in one giant book. These thinner editions are also much more rare than pre-war thick editions with 6 or 8 pages.
This is a must have for any serious researcher or NSB collector. I deem to have priced the book also very well. Many dealers nowadays ask 35 euro euro PER EDITION, and especially the late wartime editions are rarer. For this complete book with over 300 editions i ask only about 3 euro per piece, which is an absolute steal! Nowhere cheaper and completer to find!
When this is gone it is gone, i dont ever expext to find another book or complete year like this.
The condition is very good for a newspaperbook, of course there is a little wear and tear, but most editions are in newlike condition, only the first and last show some use.
I will also tell the new owner after buying where the book comes from. Since 1943 it had before me only one owner!
