Description
This is a large NSDAP Gold partybadge (GPB) #30187 (Goldenes parteiabzeichen) by maker Deschler & Sohn from München, together with a silver Gauabzeichen Thüringen #99 + NSDAP membershipbadge (maker marked RZM M1/14).
All three together belonging and from the possession of SA-Truppführer Hermann Werner, who was a SA-Truppführer in SA group Greiz.
All three badges are in great condition. The silver Gau Thuringen badge is very rare and shows some lovely patination. It does not get any better. It’s number #99 was checked by a fellow collector and is listed in the rare Gau Thuringen book and has been confirmed to correspond with the name of Werner.
The set was in the past obtained by a collector who bought the group directly from the offsping of Werner.
The here also shown photo of Hermann Werner is only digitally shown here for reference and is not in my possession. The photo shows the exact badges here for sale in wear. It does not get much better. I got this digital image myself from the previous collector with whom i traded the group. Like probably every collector i have a weak spot for Gold Partybadges and Gaubadges and instantly fell for the group when i saw it. Named groups like this are becoming increasingly difficult to find and will only continue to rise in value. Due to a lack of time if have not researched the group any further. More info regarding the background files of Hermann Werner can be request from e.g. Westmorelandresearch, but i leave that up to the next collector.
This is an amazingly rare named Gold Partybadge group, that together with the Thüringen Gau badge is much rarer than e.g. a matching big and small GPB set.
