NSNAP Westmark memberbadge (1940).
A very scarce and still not all too common understood badge. The NSNAP Westmark was ressurected in the city of Breda directly after the Dutch capitulation and existed for only a short period. It’s goal was only cooperation with the German occupier and it’s leader Adolf Hitler, which they saw as their leader in the Netherlands as well. This also explains it’s name “Westmark”, as that is how they saw the Netherlands -> as a western part of the German Third Reich. While this NSNAP party never became a big player it’s political programm which only included openly cooperation with Germany and the NSDAP, caused quite a stir in the Netherlands. In december 1941 it was after a about one and a half year existence forbidden, together with all other dutch fascist parties by the Germans.
Please mind these badges are heavily faked, with originals going through the roof as a result. The one offered here is a textbook original from my own collection. It is quite hard to find!!!
