Description
This is a large size photoalbum from the personal possession of the Reichskommissar für die besetzten niederländischen Gebiete Arthur Seyss-Inquart.
The album contains 46 photo’s in the size of approximately 24 x 18 centimeters. The photo’s were take on occasion of a visit of NSB leader Anton Mussert to a SS trainingcamp of the Dutch SS Volunteer Legion in Arys in east-Prussia.
On the photo’s are many rare dutch/Germanic SS insignia visible, as well as wellknown keyfigures in both high leadership (such as Höhere SS- und Polizeiführer Hanss Albin Rauter) and dutch Volunteers.
Inisde of the cover is an inkt ownershipstamp from teh lbrary of Arthur Seyss-Inquart that reads: “”Dr. Arthur Seyss-Inquart Den Haag”. This is a wellknown stamps that is known to have been used by Seyss-Inqart for books from his personal library situated on the estate of Clingendael in the privince of South-Netherlands.
One other similar album is known and collectorsconsensus tells that probably a similar album was made for NSB leader Anton Mussert and maybe also for Rauter.
This is item of the utmost rarity!!!
