Description
This is a privat presentation photoalbum from Reichskommissar Dr. Seyß-Inquart. It was given to him in den Haag on 18 April 1942, on occassion of the one year existence of the Nationalsozialistische Volkswohlfahrt (Nederlandse Volksdienst) in the Netherlands.
The album contains a handmade card of the Netherlands in the front of the album, and further 50 original photographs. Pictured are typical NSV/NVD activities like Mütterheime, NSV ärzte, many unknown photo’s of e.g Seyß-Inquart, Fritz Schmidt, Hilgenfeldt, etcetera. Also interesting Kinderlandverschickung photo’s, etcetera.
The album is unique and a one of a kind original item of the utmost rarity. This can easily be called a museumpiece!
It simply does not get rarer than this. Not all photo’s are shown and the heavy watermarks are of course for obvious reasons.
Shipment might be a bit more expensive as indicated by the automated shoppingcart here on the website. I’ll contact the buyer afterwards with the actual full insured shipmentcosts per destination.
—- Edit: added a rare archive research newspaper article regarding the one year existence of the NSV/NVD in the Netherlands. It comes from “The Deutsche Zeitung in die Niederlande” newspaper, dated 18 April 1942. It shows one of the photo’s in the album. The buyer can after buying the album recieve a digital copy of this article if desired so. This paper article is of course not included in the album.
