Description
This is an original wartime litho by famous “Kriegsmaler” (War Painter) Wilhelm Petersen from 1940.
The size (framed) is approximately 52 x 43 centimeters, the litho itself (as i can see in the passepartout is 36 x 27,5 centimeters). It was framed postwar by a collector. I obvoiously did not open the frame.
The litho is a wartime original litho and was sold before 1945 seperately (im not aware of any Petersen art maps it was included in). It’s an amazing looking and colorfull image of a painted Germanic looking man. This was also published in the SS Leitheft from annual 6, dated 15 January 1941 (Folge 10a/b).
The SS Leitheft is included in the sale.
An amazing original litho that would look good in any museum or on a collectionwall.
