Description
This is a M35 Heer re-issue helmet. It has (low) lotnumber 935 and is also marked Q62, indicating production by maker F. W. Quist from Esslingen.
There was a name written on the inside but it was periodically removed and is only partially still visible. The decal has deteriorated due to 80 years of bad storage by a non collecting family that just kept the helmet since the war.
The helmet was recently found in Denmark in a privat household and was never before in collectorshands. Nothing cleaned, nothing messed with. The original to helmet liner shows some typical light fungus to the leather. I left it uncleaned, it is up to the next owner to clean it or leave it like this. For sure it would clean up nicely.
Under the dark grey paint is the original green paint visible.
