This is a Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) jacket from RAD group 276/8.
The jacket is in good condition, but it has for some unknown reason been periodically altered into a short jacket and also the collar appears to be replaced by a wool type. The underside of the jacket has thus been shortened and there has a stripe of another RAD jacket been added on the bottom . One theory is that this might have been done for a women to give her a short jacket in the style of a sort of Kletterveste, but this is just speculation and it is just not clear why it has been shortened. It is however interesting and is done pretty good.
The ärmelabzeichen (RAD insignia) is original applied and the jacket is stamped with the correct sizes and productionnumbers on the inside. It appears to have been made by Veit Groh & Sohn from Karlsruhe.
A nice oddity you don’t see everyday. Because of the changes i priced it quite low for a real bargain price for an original RAD jacket.
