Description
This is a very rare and quite large, definately impressive porcelain portrait plaque by the company of well known porcelain manufacturer Rosenthal, who was licensed to use the image of the oil portrait painting from famous period painter/artist Willy Exner on the obverse.
The total size of the plaque is 24,5 x 19,5 centimeter (and the thickness is 0,5 centimeter).
Already at the time this was an exceptional luxurious item that was very expensive and sold in low numbers. Because of it’s porcelain material it was (and is!) very breakable and not many have survived the war.
The reverse is plain white, but has on top the Rosenthal company logo pictured and on the lower end written in a cartouche: “Der Fuhrer Gemälde vom Willy Exner”.
The overal condition is very good, there are a few very minor scratches but overal it is in exceptional good condition.
Very rare!
Pickup preferable, although we can of course ship it very well packed.
