Description
This is a very interesting SA Rally badge, for a two-day rally, held in Schwaben in August 1935.
The design is that of an impressive silvered eagle, holding a 1933 pattern SA dagger in it’s claws.
To the centre of the eagle’s body is a seperate centre medallion, with a SA Rune and outer designation, ’24/25.8.1935 SA TREFFEN.BRIG.86 SCHWABEN.’
Mounted behind the disk is a piece of red wool cloth which highlights the SA Rune. The wool is in excellent conditon, often this is missing or eaten by moths.
The reverse comes with a standard vertical brooch pin assembly and makers name being that of Carl Schrobe.
The whole badge is in very good condition, as said with intact red wool centre and is very impressive with dimensions of approximately 5,2 x 5 centimeters.
A rare SA eagle badge in very good condition!!
