This is a lovely Serbian Saint Sava order 5th class Knights cross. The color of the robe (greenish) indicates it was made around 1921 by famous Swiss medal maker Huguenin Freres & Co from Le Locle.
The order of St Sava was institued in 1883 (see the reverse date) by King Milan I to be awarded especially for meritorious service to the State, the royal House, the church and to the fields of arts and sciences.
The trifold ribbon is also the original one.
An amazing award in great condition, with superior enamel work!
