This is the Soldbuch of Obergefreiter Heinrich Meyer, the soldbuch is from 24-04-1942 and is complete with uniform passphoto.
Meyer was born in 1923 and his civil occupation was that of farmer. He served from 1942 with the MG unit of Infanterie Ersatz Bataillon 33 based in Salzwedel, till april 1943 with Fahrkolonne 7/106 and Fahrkolonne 4/106, both transport units of the 106. Infanterie-Division. Till february 1943 he was based in northern France (St. Omer) and on march 1943 he went on transport to Russia (Charkow). From april 1943 till december 1943 he was with the 2./Grenadier- Regiment 412 (former Infanterie Regiment 412) of the 227. Infanterie-Division active in northern Russia (Leningrad).
He got ill in december 1943 and was hospitalised in several hospitals till june 1944 and served afterwards with his replacements unit Grenadier Ersatz Bataillon 412 based in Bonn.
A nice and honest soldbuch in light used condition with many entries. It just breathes history!
