This is a typical late war Soldbuch for a young just 17 year old boy who was called to arms at the last stages of the war.
Georg Feldkirchner was born on 18 december 1926 and joined as a 17 year old boy on 27 june 1944 (probably just after D-Day when many young boys were called to arms) the Stammbatterie of Beobachter Ersatz Abteilung 44.
Feldkirchner was just 18 when the war ended. He did survive however, and there is a paper of his imprisonment included in the book, as well as another photo on postcardsize (a bit bit dirty). This photo is dated on the reverse with juni 1944 and was no doubt proudly taken the day he joined the army.
This is an interesting soldbuch that shows very well the seriousness of war, when even 17 year olds joined the army to fight for the Third Reich.
Overal the Soldbuch is in very good condition and nicely filled in.
