Description
This is a spectacular DLV/NSFK grouping from Scharführer im NSFK, Heinz Haller.
Haller was in the early 1930’s a pioneer pilot first related to the DLV (Deutscher Luftsportverband) Flieger-Landesgruppe Westfalen/Gelsenkirchen, and later NSFK, who participated in most all important flying competitions in the 1930’s.
The group consists of:
- Hallers 1934 dated DLV memberpass with passphoto
- Flugbuch für Segelflieger (also dated 1934)
- Flugbuch (1935) (very full filled in)
- Bordbuch für Deutschlandflug 1938 (very full filled in)
- A paper cover filled with Italian related paper snippets
- A modern map thats says: “Flieger Arbeits Wehrausbildung” and which is complete full with original photographs and another DLV pass. Also in this map a written page (on his official paper) with all flying competations he participated in. This reads as a German 1930’s Flying sports history!
- Several official paperworks from the NSFK.
- Many cut out newspaper articles (not all a re pictured) related to all the flying compettitions Haller participated in.
- A plaque for the Danzig Ostlandflug 1939
- A DLV plaque for the Deutschlandflug 1935 – Zwangslandeplatz Breslau
- A cased silver (!) NSFK participants plaque with number #48 for participants of the Deutschlandflug 1938. Inside the lid is the rare citation to Haller. These plaques in silver are very rare to find and much rarer as the more commonly encounted bronze commemorative plaques that were also handed out to non flying personel.
There is no wartime related paperwork in the group, but there is a 1951 dated pass from the Luftsport Club e.v Gelsenkirchen in the group. So we know Haller survived the war and flew again in the 1950’s.
This is an unresearched unique grouping that deserves to be more looked into. The group comes from my own collection, but i’ve never had the time to research it. Such complete DLV/NSFK groupings are very rare to find! Finding a cased silver and named NSFK plaque for actual participants is also extremely rare.
