Description
SS-Meisterbrief / SS-Meistertitels citation – Signed SS Standartenführer Neblich (1941) – Extremely Rare
Named to SS-Rottenführer Karl Formann, born 29-08-1920 in Vienna.
Large size approximately 70 x 50 centimeters (which is normally a postersize).
In used condition, there are a some age damages but nothing really disturbing. This could easily be the centrepiece of any (SS) collection when framed in a frame behind glass and passepartout. The color is blueish/grey but hard to get right on photo. Rare is an understement here!
It took me 20 years to find one of these ulatra rare citations for the SS technical school in Vienna. Three types (or classes) of these citations are known to exist, these being: SS Technische Führer, SS Schirrmeister, and the rarest of them all the SS-Meistertitel, which is offered here for sale.
More background information on these:
The Motor Technical Training Establishment of the SS was formed at Graz for the inspection and testing of Waffen-SS motor transport and for the training of mechanics. In august 1944 the establishment became part of the Transport Troops. There was also an establishment in Prague. This organisation awarded a number of diplomas. In the line of progression are a number of illuminated citations. These cover a number of branches of expertise. The citations were awarded by the Motor Training Establishment of the SS on successful completion of the Technical Master Sergeant’s Course. This was signed by the commander SS-Oberführer Neblich.
