Description
This is a stripped and worn “been there” Waffen-SS M43 Field Blouse (Feldbluse M43). It shows a late war simplified construction which has evolved from the M36 into the M40, M42 and then into the M43 model.
The Feldbluse has 5 buttons on the front for closing, and the belt support hook suspenders have typical for the M43 replaced short integral straps, and there are the typical SS-construction two holes for the belt support hooks.
Shoulder-board loops are present but are clearly repaired/later added. All insignia have been stripped. There are four pockets on the front.
The inside shows the typical grey rayon lining (fish grate cloth) and shows several repairs, the small pouch for the bandage package is present on the lower end.
The right, front-closure panel lining is marked with size-stamps (chest-size 96 cms) and dated 1943. Please see pictures of the stamps.
Overall there are many age signs and small damages and repairs, this is not a mint factory “new feldbluse”, but as can been seen a typical “been there” combat tunic. There is some staining and dirt, and many traces of use.
If you are looking for a worn combat SS Feldbluse in used condition, to create a SS frontsoldier mannequin, then this would be a nice start for your project. It’s apart from the repairs and use a 100% original tunic.
Waffen-SS field blouses are very hard to find nowadays, in ANY condition.
