Description
This is an original secret V-2 rocket “Instandsetzungsanweisung für Sondergerät” manual. Obviously in mid to late 1944 the name V-2 was not in use, hence the name “Sondergerät”.
This was originally a part of the transport vehicle of a V-2 rocket. This particular map comes from vehicle “Fahrzeug Nr: 101“.
It was intended for useage of the “ausgabe für feuerstellung und Feldspeicher“, being in English the Launching crew and Field crew. In case of any malfunction, or for making the V-2 operatable, this manual was a necessary part. It was a very secret set of documents, that was never to be fallen into enemy hands, as it shows many blue prints of the V-2 rocket and desriptions for many parts and how to make them functionable.
Dated 27.8.1944 (!).
The contents are of:
– Mittelteil
– Heck
– Antriebsblock
– T-Anlage
– Armaturen
In total there are 34 pages, with a total of 32 seperate added (each one is affixed seperately to the paper) blue print design pictures, to show visually how to work on those specific parts of the rocket.
This is an extremely rare original set of documents, of great historical importance. Preferable i would like to sell it to a museum or research facility, where it could be used for research or study purposes.
To describe the rarity is an impossible job. Imagine the liberating forces having at the time their hands on these documents, it would perhaps have had an influence on the course of the war!
Shown are only a few pictures of the contents*
The pages are inside of plastic, making it very hard to take pictures**
