The pass comes from longtime collector and researcher Wayne Shearsmith who at one point in the 1980’s contacted a number of official researchers and institutions in an attempt to try and research the pass. Within his research he got in contact with a german researcher who could [at the time] confirm that Willi Dörr was still alive. Among other Shearsmith was in contact with Simon Wiesenthal of the “Dokumentationszentrum Des Bundes Jüdischer Verfolgter des Naziregimes”. Wiesenthal wrote him a letter back at the time and personally signed this letter. The documents/letters of correspondence of this research of 40 years ago is added to the pass and is a part of this “group” now. Original Wiesenthal autographs are hard to come by these days.
A very interesting Wehrpass that deserves more indept (modern) research!
