Description
This is a German Wehrmacht Beerstein, as can be read on the inscription running along the border on the lid, it was handed out to Feldwebel Otto Keller in Plauen in 1939. Most probably this was some sort of price for e.g. a shooting or sportscompetition. This particular type of blue glaced beerstein’s is wellknown from the second half of the 1930’s, to have been used as prizes for wehrmacht competitions.
On top of the lid is a German helmet. Surrounding the edge is engraved: “Feldwebel Otto Keller, Plauen 1939”.
The beerstein itself has a great dark blue color, with tradional german symbolism. It is numbered on the underside.
The size is approximately 14,5 centimeters.
In excellent condition.
