Wehrmacht (Heer) framed “Schmuckurkunde” [luxuary] Infantery citation.
Dated 1938.
Original period framed, including frame approximately 40 x 30 centimeters.
On the back was written the following:
“Im Glücksigmässigen
Im Stürm nicht zagen
Das Unvermeidliche mit
Würde tragen, das Leben lieben
den Tod nicht scheun
Und fest an Gott und Bess’re Zukunft glauben,
Das heisst Leben, heisst Sterben, heisst selbst
Dem Tod, das Bitt’re rauben!
