This is a WW2 Police / Dutch “Schalkhaar Politie” visor.
The insignia on top (the flaming grenade) is stitched, the gold colored oakleaf wreath and coackarde are made of metal.
The cap was made by J.P. Mol Breda and as such also maker marked on the inside. The stormband is present and both the lion bttons on the side too.
No damage, no mottholes, simply perfect! It cannot be upgraded!!!
These visors are already near impossible to find, but in this excellent condition of the utmost rarity!
A bit background:
At the end of 1941 had Obergruppenführer Rauter in his function of höhere SS- und Polizeiführer und Generalkommissar für das Sicherheitswesen in the Netherlands, eliminated all the leaders of the Dutch Police who twarted and tried to sabotage his decissions. In Schalkhaar came then a police academy which would give name to the policemen from then on who answered to the ideal of National-Socialism. To achieve his goal, Rauter had the lower ranks of unkind staff to be purified and replaced by Dutch nazis.
