WWI Eisernes Kreuz Erste Klasse (EK1) / Iron Cross first Class + case.
The case with nice dark blue bed, which makes the cross stand out really well when displayed.
The cross on the back, below the catch maker marked with makerscode “KO”, which stands for the Berlin Royal mint.
The case is in very good condition, the cross as can be seen was worn a lot, but has a great patination and just breathes history. It may be used but definately not abused. It would look great on a worn tunic too.
