This is a WWII German Wochenspruch (propaganda miniposter) with a saying of Adalbert Stifter, it dates to 17-23 May 1942.
These “Wochensprucher” were official by the NSDAP published little propagandaposters, that could because of their small sizes easily be hung up in houses (e.g. in the kitchen), but also in public buildings, et cetera.
The text in the centre comes from a saying of Adalbert Stifter:
“ Das Mutterherz ist der schönste und unverlierbarste Platz des Sohnes/selbst wenn er schon graue Haare tr:agt/-und jeder hat im ganzen Weltall nur ein einziges solches”. On the upperside is a german Wehrmachtsoldier kneeling in front of his Mother.
The dimensions of the Wochenspruch are approximately 35 x 24 centimeters. Ideal to list and display in e.g. a glasscabinet next to a collection.
In very good condition and very rare to find!
Will be sent rolled up in a small cardboard container which will in turn be placed in a box to keep the Wochenspruch undamaged.
