Description
This is a Dutch WWII enameled Luchtbeschermingsdienst (LBD) / Air Raid Protection doorshield for a “Blokhoofd Luchtbescherming”. These were affixed near the doorpost on the front of the house.
We managed to obtain a small lot of these enameled doorshields from the dutch “Luchtbeschermingsdienst”. These all come from Zwolle where they were collected after the war by the municipality and kept in storage until recently. These shields have all been actually used during the war and show some wear and tear. These are real Dutch history Zwolle war relics and are extremely rare to find!
Great for display in a glasscabinet, the size is approximately 20 x 7 centimeters.
