SS Obersturmführer Dr. K. Otto Bäcker was a consultant for medicinal plants in the SS Reich Leadership. SS-Obersturmführer Rudolf Lucass was a master horticulturist and consultant for medicinal and aromatic plant cultivation in the SS Reich Leadership. Bäcker and Lucass are known to be have been studying in KL Dachau for the cultivation of medicinal herbs, the so-called “plantation” or herb garden. They used the camps inmates to cultivate the herb garden.
The condition of the book is good, with only minor damage to the linnen of the spine. I’d rate it easily as good as only a handfull of these original books are known and all are more of less damaged. Notably IF any of these rare books comes to the bookmarket, the first two pages (with the Himmler and SS references and runes) are always missing as they were cut out after the war.
Finding a book complete like offered here is about as rare as it gets. Only a handfull survided the war and history. Due to material and wartime paper used it would be hard if not almost impossible to find a better copy.
One of the very rarest of all SS publications and missing from most collections. I don’t expect to ever be able to offer another one.

This book is an original timedocument, connected however to the most tragic and terrible events in (wartime) history. This is a very serious historical item and it should preferably be displayed in a museum or used as a historical source for research. The book is only sold for historical purposes to museums or researchers as studymaterial and of course we distance ourselves from any political background or ideology.
