(Denmark) Carlsberg Beer wall or pub poster with swastika (1936) – RARE.
This is an original period promotional poster with approximate size 41 x 31 centimeters.
Printed by Krijckow-Waldorf in 1936. On the back is written “Olga & Carl 8/2”.
For Carlsberg Apoliinaris Water bottles.
Extremely rare to find, im not aware of another.
In good condition.
The swastika’s in the centra of the bottle’s label was used as a symbol of peace in the pre-war period. After the war in 1945 it was however for obvious reasons removed from the Carlsberg products. It makes it nowadays for a rare original collectable. Carlsberg is mostly known for it’s world famous beer, but in the early days also had a line of limonade’s and even waterbottles.
Very rare to find original poster.
A great item for in a mancave/collectingroom or diorama!
